Knowledge Transfer
I am strongly committed to knowledge transfer, particularly within the public sector, while also collaborating with companies and private organizations. Alongside the development of contracts and institutional agreements, I regularly participate in public events, policy forums, and knowledge-transfer workshops.
I have served as a consultant and expert for international institutions, including the World Bank, the OECD, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Forum of Federations, and the Assembly of European Regions.
Between 2014 and 2023, I was responsible for the Family Business Chair at the Universidade de Vigo and served as General Coordinator of the Family Business Chairs across the three Galician universities integrated into the Spanish Family Business Institute network. I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO) and of Recursos de Galicia (RDG).
Institutional Leadership and Public Service
I am the Director of EconLabGalicia: Public Policy Analysis and Design and the Galician Economic Forum. Together with Jorge Martinez-Vazquez, I also coordinate RIFDE, a network of experts specializing in Spanish fiscal federalism.
My public-service experience includes membership of the official Commission for the Reform of the Financing of Spain’s Autonomous Communities in 2017 and the official Commission for the Reform of the Spanish Tax System between 2021 and 2022.
Research Management and Policy Impact
Since 2014, as a team leader at the Universidade de Vigo and the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, I have secured and managed more than €4 million in funding through competitive grants, contracts, and institutional agreements.
This experience has strengthened my ability to design and coordinate large-scale research initiatives, build interdisciplinary teams, and translate academic evidence into practical and actionable policy recommendations.
